The Caribbean is a cluster of small island nations own an inimitable 500 year history which best defines New World. It is a history of misrule among an ever changing succession of Kings and Queens who rarely if ever visited or invested. The largest immigrant group began as African slaves and retained their culture through the art of song, dance and story. Today many festivals (Carnivals) proudly express themselves re some of the biggest and greatest celebrations throughout North America and even Europe. They invite each of us to become a King or Queen and we wish to pass some of the skills and talents into making these Carnivals possible by passing on the tradition to our children.

Health:
Surveys of Caribbean American communities reveal significant heath disparities, and
have identifies HIV/AIDS and inadequate access to health care as a major health issue
in this population. According to the Centers for Disease Control people of color
now account for greater proportion of AIDS cases reported. A close examination
of the U.S AIDS cases over the past decade reveals that HIV/AIDS is the leading cause
of death among African American between the age of 25-
